The fouta, or pestemal, is the traditional hammam towel. Our hammam towels are made in Tunisia in a small artisan workshop in the town of Monastir. They are woven on old looms, and many details are still hand made: for example, the fringes are twisted and knotted by hand. Hammam towels are made from 100% cotton yarns.
