His sculptural, organic tables, chairs and sofas made him particularly famous. But he also enjoyed great success with the complex interiors he developed in the 1940s and 1950s. These include the Danish Embassy in Washington, D. C. and the meeting room of the United Nations Board of Trustees in the UN building in New York.
