Since 1927, Vtra has manufactured all its garments in its own factory in France: from weaving and dyeing the fabrics to the final seam. The French fabric Moleskine ("moleskin") is finished with a satin finish that makes it particularly durable and hard wearing. Its texture is reminiscent of suede and was once often used for workwear because of its soft yet robust properties.
