Grape Motif Mourning Locket 1990s sweater a few picksLovely gold filled locket circa late 1890s to 1900s with a seed pearl grape motif. Grapes and grape leaves were a common motif in mourning jewelry and signified the blood of Christ and victory over death in gaining eternal life. This beautiful locket features two photos of a young man and an inscription on the back of the initials GR. +++ Measurements +++ 1. 25" diameter +++ Condition +++ Lovely condition with some minor wear and patina from age.
