Judging from the label and styling I believe this suit dates from the mid 1940s

There is some discoloration at the back of the top but it's not very obvious

Waist button functions fine

Skirt has a wide fitted waistband and flaring hem with a side metal zipper

Insole reads "Perfect Poise"

1940s Black Gored Skirt box_purse Judging from the label and1940s black rayon crepe skirt with stitched gores. Skirt is fitted at the top of the hips and flares at the hem. There is a metal zipper at one side and a single button at the waist band. The skirt was taken in at some point, evident by extra fabric in the waistband and a larger seam allowance below. This being the case, the skirt could easily be let out to gain a couple inches at the waist and through the top of the hips. Currently the measurements
