Georgian Metal Compass Rock Crystal A stunning mid-19th century goldA fine Georgian gilt metal pocket compass, dating from the early 19th century. The compass features a white enamel dial clearly marked with cardinal and intercardinal directions, accented by elegant blued steel hands and a traditional fleur de lis denoting north. The instrument is housed in its original turned wooden case with a hinged lid. Inside, a handwritten period label reads Gilt Compass without Stop No. 2. Circa 1800. Measurements: 3cm diameter
