Antique English 17th Century Charles II Carved Oak Bible Document Deed Box 1680 Paintings which gave his pieces aA good antique English Charles II period carved oak Bible or deed box, from the late 1600s. The box is made of typical six plank and joined pegged construction, the box with a hinged lid and hand cut iron strap hinges. The front panel with a deeply carved arcade of interlaced semi circular arches or lunettes, internally carved with stylized flowers devices, to the center is a hand cut iron lock plate. The front two edges are decorated with chip
