It has been well cleaned and prepared and is intact with the quadrate bones but is missing the pterygoid
inner minimum diameter is about 58mm and it is about 16mm deep
5cm long and a really nice and unusually coloured specimen
These are long lived birds with a life span of over 55 years although many of the juvenile die in their first long migration
This was a very old male dog and as you can see from the photographs
Fossilised partial Mammoth tooth It has been well cleanedThis is a part of a molar from a mammoth Mammuthus primigenius which died about 50,000 years ago. The teeth are often preserved and found in sediments in the North Sea. This one measures 14. 5cm long by 8cm wide and 8. 5cm deep and weighs 1100 grams. This one has split into two parts.
