Born of Latvian parents in Munich, Germany, Alda Kirulis Kaufman immigrated to the United States in 1951. A long time resident of Dubuque, Kaufman studied watercolor painting under numerous nationally known artists and is a signature member of the Iowa Watercolor Society and Iowa Artists. Kaufman finds watercolor perfectly suited to
