Bowl with Irises by Nancy Briggs Material_Cotton Most of our sterling isThis bowl is made of white stoneware clay. Black underglaze is applied to the unfired ware, then light carving (sgrafitto) reveals the white clay. The piece is then bisque fired and a colored transparent glass is applied and then the piece is fired to cone 6. Dimensions: 4 tall x 8. 5 in diameter Handmade by Nancy Briggs of Des Moines, Iowa. My wheel thrown pottery currently is made of red earthenware clay accented with a white slip, under glazes and
