Black underglaze is applied to the unfired ware, then light carving (sgrafitto) reveals the white clay. The piece is then bisque fired and a colored transparent glass is applied and then the piece is fired to cone 6. Dimensions: 4 tall x 8. 5 in diameter Handmade by Nancy Briggs of Des Moines, Iowa.
