The cabinet had been part of the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum San Francisco (now The de Young Museum), and was the property of Ms. Lee Eleanor Graham a San Francisco socialite & decorator in the 1920s. Lee Eleanor Graham was the wife of the oil magnate William Miller Graham who in 1902 had commissioned the building of "Bellosguardo" (Beautiful
