I dyed this yarn on Wonderful Worsted
The idea for this colorway came after taking the time to scroll through my Facebook feed and seeing so many different perspectives about the current situation in the world
this colorway is more muted on Buttery Soft DK than on many of my other yarn bases due to the alpaca and silk content
JONES' LES VENDEUSES DE TISSUE Hand Dyed on Stained Glass Fingering - Block Variegated Yarn dec25 going all the way downThis colorway was inspired by a painting of Lois Mailou Jones called Les Vendeuses de Tissue. I left the title in the original French, but it simply means the fabric sellers. Jones was an amazing artist who painted from early childhood until she was in her 90s. She moved to Paris in the 1930s and later married a Haitian artist. She spent many years living in Haiti and painting scenes of everyday life there like this one. This was my club colorway back
