Georgian "Thought Of You" Rebus Seal Fob Pendant gilt metal The craftsmanship is exceptionalDATE: Georgian, c. 1820 A sweet Georgian seal fob set with a carnelian rebus intaglio panel in the base. It depicts a pansy beneath the words "a vous", meaning in this case "thought of you" (in French the word for pansy is pense, meaning thought). The fob itself is ornately engraved with the floral and foliate motifs popularly employed during this era.
