Victorian Hessonite Garnet & Pearl Heartburst Brooch gypsy rings the form from a marionetteDATE: Victorian, c. 1900 A wonderful Victorian celestial brooch dating from the turn of the 20th century. This design would usually be referred to as a "starburst", but given the central hessonite garnet is carved as a heart cabochon I'm going with heartburst (and all the connotations that brings).
