The panel at the bottom is bloodstone agate, intaglio carved with the word CONSTANCE probably for a woman, not the German city in gothic script (constance is an Old French word meaning "steadfastness" or "composure", from the latin constantia "firm standing, steadiness, firmness of character" etc. It's crafted in 15 karat
