18th Century Gold Posy Ring "My Love Shall Last Til Life Be Past" Size:6.75 Stuart Crystal (Rock crystal)DATE: Georgian, c. 1780 An especially lovely late 18th Century Posy ring, dating from circa 1780. The inner band bears the inscription: "My Love shal last til life be Past". It's modelled in 22 karat gold, with a particularly sweet sentiment. The name "Posy Ring" comes from the type of inscription within, which was usually in rhyme or "posey". MEASUREMENTS Width of band: 3. 1mm WEIGHT 2. 3g MARKS No marks present, tests as 22k gold CONDITION Very good
