Clos de la Roilette 'Cuvée Tardive' Fleurie, 2024 (1.5L) shandy this "southern" expression of ChardonnayThis wine is 100% Gamay from Fleurie. While not a true 'clos' this bottling does come from a selection of 80 year old vines in a single vineyard. The vineyard was actually named after the owners prized horse, whose favorite pastime was eating Gamay grapes in the vineyard. Slightly heftier than its Fleurie contemporaries, this wine is full of cherry liqueur, ripe strawberries, and earthy minerality. A perfect pairing for a Chicago style hot dog with
