In the event of additional nests being ordered you must choose between the Phalanx nests fitting together side-by-side or  2 or more of them connecting to the foraging area via separate tubing (and then each nest connected via tubing or not at all)

Ants can be seen cleaning themselves while hanging upside-down

Other Mini Hearths without this feature (Bifurcated and some older models) can be connected using 3/8" tubing to the modular Mini Hearths
