1920s Diamond Biplane Charm Pendant niello separated by a silver "page"DATE: Art Deco, c. 1920 A superb antique biplane pendant crafted in platinum and set with diamonds. It dates from the 1920s maybe slightly earlier with wonderful detailing and finished in fine millegrain around the edges. The first powered flight took place in the Wright brothers' biplane, the Wright Flyer, but by the 1930s these iconic aicraft became virtually obsolete replaced by cantilever monoplanes that could fly at greater speed due to reduced
